Home again

ahhh! Home again. Free right turns, coffee with free refills and I understand most of what everyone says. Ok, so it is not all a bed of roses but it is nice to be home. On a rainy, cool, dreary day I reflect back on the beauty of France and Switzerland. Maybe it was not so much the beauty or the great weather or even seeing great friends. You see I went to work for part of today and realize that I really like being retired. No one knows how nice it is to not have to rush off to work but to go when you want better than a retired person who works at a job where it doesn't matter if you sleep in once in a while. I have so many people to thank for such a great visit, all of you were a gift from God. Thank you all.

Ready to leave?

To be able to leave projects for almost a month takes some preparations so I started long ago and must be finished because it's time to go. The church building project is in good hands and will continue without any help from me. My house will be well taken care of while I am gone and I have no schedules for work at the school. Am I ready to leave? Well I am ready to leave but I doubt I have taken care of everything that needs taking care of. I am excited to see friends and have time to sit and relax. I am not real excited to drive through France for three weeks. I am excited to visit with the DeMuth family. I am not excited to fly those long hours. I am excited to see new places and try new foods. I am not excited to deal with a new language. Am I ready? Ready or not I leave the house in less than 3 hrs so I am as ready as I am ever. Bob and Realonda see you tomorrow, Patrick, Mary and Kids, see you a week from Saturday. Highline Christian Church see you next month. Kim, I may not be able to visit your blog (www.servinginuganda.blogspot.com)for a while but you are in our prayers. To all the rest see ya! John
